From the Crowd to the Committed
Speaker: Chris Martin Series: Luke - The Gospel For Everyone Passage: Luke 14:25–34
Have you ever launched a new venture and realized halfway through that you had no idea what you were getting yourself into? And you secretly wished someone had clued you in as to how hard this was going to be? This very familiar life dynamic was not lost on Jesus. Following Him was no halfway proposition, so He encouraged the crowds to consider the cost of following Him. Jesus does the same today. He is still seeking to move people from the crowd to the committed. This is a message for both Christians and non-Christians, for counting the cost impacts the way we begin and the way we finish.
