When Small Is Big

Speaker: Chris Martin Series: Luke - The Gospel For Everyone Passage: Luke 13:10–21

Do you have a tendency to take things for granted, or overlook something that seems small and insignificant? Have you ever underestimated someone or something? In this next section of Luke’s gospel, we take a minor detour from the warnings of Jesus. In between stories of pending judgment, Jesus speaks about the power of His Kingdom and the inevitability of its success. When spiritual growth seems impossible, when the church feels impotent, or when the world feels like it is spinning out of control, you might be tempted to doubt the power of the gospel to change your life or change our world. Jesus demonstrates and teaches that your doubts lack a foundation. This is a critical message for every person trying to hang on to hope in our polarized and fractured culture.
