Happy Giving

Generosity makes people happy. It is something we have all tasted. There is a powerful feeling that washes over us when we give selflessly. While we should not disparage the genuine giving of our non-Christian friends, as followers of Jesus we have the opportunity in our generosity to be doubly happy. Our generosity connects us uniquely to God, and it is safely stored away and carefully guarded until the age to come. Embracing those truths ought to impel us to treat generosity not as an exceptional event but as a daily habit.
