Happy Salvation

Most of our lives are defined by “do, do, do,” “go, go go,” and “hurry, hurry, hurry.” Yet when we come to the Bible, we hear Jesus utter these words from the cross--“It is finished.” In a hurry-sick, to do list culture, are there any greater words (or happier words) than these? The reality is that most of us know theologically that “It is finished,” and that “We are saved by grace through faith, and not of works…” but practically speaking, many of us live our lives as if these facts weren’t true.
