Vertical Humility

There is a humility shortage in the culture. We like winners. We follow the worthy. We're impressed by quick-thinkers. In a culture obsessed with celebrity, we can’t tell the difference between celebrities we admire and leaders we should follow. Sadly, there is also a humility shortage in the church. As believers, we have the example and empowerment to slay our pride. We could be showing the world a different way—showing them the beauty of humility. This passage reveals that our witness depends on humility.
