The Dangers of Pride and the Wisdom of Humility

British Pastor, and author, John Stott once said, "Pride is your greatest enemy, and humility is your greatest friend.” Certainly pride is something that we all struggle with throughout our lives and the effects of it can be very damaging. It says in Proverbs 11:2, "When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom." The book of Proverbs is an amazing resource and teacher when it comes to helping us understand the dangers of pride and the wisdom of humility.
