Proverbs and Justice

In the very introduction to Proverbs we discover that understanding and practicing justice is a core purpose of the book. Justice put into concrete action is part of the "beautiful life" envisioned by the writer of Proverbs. Our view of justice spills into our personal relationships and the kind of society we envision. Our view of justice is a prism through which we interpret the events unfolding around us. That is why what one believes about justice is so relevant. It is why grounding our beliefs in the Scriptures is so important.
