The title of our series in Judges is Broken People; Faithful God. One of the Judges was Gideon, whose story we continue with this week. If last week’s message focused on Broken People (Gideon’s fears), this week’s message will focus on our Faithful God. God will show up in an amazing way, doing the impossible to rescue His people. The connection of these two messages underscores the reality that neither personal weakness nor overwhelming odds prevents God from doing impossible things. What impossibilities are you facing? Can you allow God to scale back your self-reliance--enough to empty yourself, face your limitations, and fully trust Him? This is the place where the impossible begins to happen. This is the place where a spiritual awakening occurs.
