Beautiful Resistance

The last time we were in an Old Testament book, we saw the people of God get carted off into exile in Babylon. God’s patience with a disobedient people had finally run out, and justice demanded that he kept his word by punishing his people for their idolatry and rebellion. So is that it? Are the people of God forsaken and abandoned in exile? Has Yahweh finally washed his hands of Israel? Not quite. Things may look dire, but Yahweh always has a remnant and he always has a plan.
