The Fading of Forgiveness

Speaker: Chris Martin Series: The Fading of Forgiveness Passage: Psalm 103:1–12

In this message, we embark on a three-week series on forgiveness. In our present reality, the mental and emotional pain suffered from human sin (e.g., abuse, neglect) has been put under a microscope. Stories told by victims have made us aware of the life-long impact when humans treat one another badly. While some of these stories have been exploited for political agendas, the human cost remains real and raw. In some instances, sadly, justice is averted and the concept of forgiveness is leveraged to excuse or even perpetuate evil. Because of this, in our cultural moment, atonement for sin is demanded and forgiveness is abandoned. Will forgiveness fade completely away in this storm?
