Reality Check

The Church in Laodicea.

We have come to the last letter that Jesus writes to the seven churches and it is perhaps the most infamous. The church in Laodicea has the unique distinction of being the only church out of the seven that Jesus has nothing good to praise about them. In fact, not only is there nothing to commend, Jesus actually says their behavior makes him want to throw up. The worst part is, they seem totally oblivious to their spiritual condition. Because of this, Jesus has to give them a reality check, but he does so out of love and concern for them.
