The Pre-eminent Christ

In the first week of our Colossians series, we learned that Paul wrote this letter to address some false teaching that had arisen in the church at Colossae. There is some debate as to the exact details of the false teaching, but essentially it revolved around Christ alone not being enough. In response, Paul beautifully lays out for the Colossians Christ’s position and authority over both the original creation and the new creation. Paul was convinced that Christ alone was enough, and that in Christ we have all that we need.
