The Gift of Teaching and Exhortation

Throughout this series, we have been talking about the core and orienting gifts of Romans
Chapter 12. They are "core" in that every church needs all seven of these gifts (serving, giving, leadership, prophecy, teaching, exhortation, and showing mercy). Like the foundation of a building, the church needs these spiritual gifts to fulfill God’s will. These gifts are also “orienting,” in that they point us in a specific direction. They focus energy towards a redemptive end and they move us towards God’s perfect plan.
