Gathered Worship: Jesus & Gender

In chapter 11, Paul begins a new section in his letter concerning how the gathered church conducts itself in a worship setting. Paul will discuss three main issues: gender distinction (11:2-16); the Lord’s Supper (11:17-34); and spiritual gifts (12:1-14:40). We will tackle Jesus and Gender this Sunday in a relevant and controversial passage. We will slow down, muster up our discernment, and try to make sense of a very confusing section of scripture that you have likely read and not had any idea what Paul was talking about.
