Don't Waste Your Life

Smugness, arrogance, and over-confidence described some leaders and members of the church. Had they not entered into a covenant with God? Had they not received his mercy? What did it matter if they succumbed to the pressure of joining in with the pagan feasts? They were covered by grace. They were faithful to take communion. They had been baptized. Their “superior” knowledge was leading them astray and Paul warned them that they were in danger of wasting their lives. Not all news is pleasant, but the truth always points north and produces a life really worth living.
