About Cross Crew

The Linworth Road Church Cross Crew Children’s Ministry is dedicated to helping children commit their lives to Jesus Christ, reach out to others in service and sharing the gospel, explore their faith as they grow in Jesus’ likeness, and worship our Lord. We pursue this vision in partnership with families, using Biblical truth in an environment of love and affirmation. Our vision statement aligns with our church’s vision of helping people become fully alive, mature, and on-mission through the healing power of Jesus Christ and His Word.

Our volunteer team values children and their families, and we are passionate about sharing the love of Jesus with them and encouraging and supporting our parents as the spiritual leaders of their families. Our volunteers partner with parents to provide Christ-centered teaching in a safe and secure environment. All Cross Crew volunteers have been screened, have completed safety training, and are committed and held accountable to serving the best interests of your child.

How Does Drop off and Pick up Work?

Upon arrival, you will check in with your child at either the digital stations or with a volunteer. This will generate a nametag for your child. The parent or guardian is given a child check card that must be presented and matched to the name tag before the child is released to the parent.

Our classrooms and nursery are peanut-free environments, and we ask parents to inform us of any allergy, medical, or custody issues.

We love all of God’s children and want your child to feel welcome here!
“In Philippians 3:12, the Apostle Paul wrote, ‘I press on to take hold of that for which Christ took hold of me.’ These words have inspired me to find that important something in each person that God sees, and to help them see it too. My prayer is that my efforts will move the children at Linworth, their families, and the volunteers who serve them, closer to God, and that in that relationship they will develop a heart like His for others.”

Lisa Finn, Children's Director

Lisa’s faith was greatly influenced by volunteers in children and youth ministry. She felt a tug toward vocational ministry when she was in college. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English and Education, recently completing a certificate in Nonprofit Leadership through The Ohio State University and Hands-On Central Ohio. She has worked in educational settings both professionally and as a volunteer. She and her family joined Linworth Road Church in 2006. She signed up to help with Linworth’s first Vacation Bible School that year, and has been involved in Cross Crew in one form or another ever since.
