Pride

Proverbs 16:18 says, "Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall." Pride not only hurts and impacts individuals who struggle with it, but it can also impact and hurt others. There are many examples of pride and prideful leaders in the Bible, but King Saul is near the top. Not only does his pride wreak havoc in his own life, but it also damages and hurts those closest to him. For most of us, pride has been the Achilles heel in our life, but because of Jesus, we no longer have to be enslaved to it.
