All Talk is Heart Talk

The title of our message is a quote from author Joseph Stowell. It captures succinctly the connection between prideful judgment in our hearts and the inevitable gossip that results.  Another author wrote, "Defamation begins and lives on in the mind. It is something we say to ourselves long before we pass it on." Thus gossip, whether we pass it on or receive it, says something about our heart condition. What exactly is gossip, or slander? Why are we attracted to it? How does it impact our community? How can we resist it? We'll answer these questions and more as we talk about gossip over the next two Sundays.
