Attitudes and Actions Towards the Poor

There are few commands in scripture that are as clear and prevalent as the command to care for the poor and needy. Some theologians have asserted that there are over 2,000 references in the scripture to this, from the beginning to the end of the Bible. One book which heavily addresses care for the poor is the book of Proverbs. Proverbs shows us both the causes of poverty and also instruction on how we are to think and act toward those who are poor.
