Desperate for Reassurance

To whom do you turn in a moment of crisis? When life demands a direction, what resources do you treasure? Where we go in crises or from whom we seek direction reveals a great deal about us. The central characters of this passage are both in crisis. David returns once again to Gath (Israel’s enemy), while Saul takes a secret trip at night to a forbidden place. Their divergent responses open up the subject of how God speaks and guides us.
