Deconstructing Prayer
Speaker: Chris Martin Series: Upside Down Passage: Matthew 6:5–15
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus positions His teaching in contrast to two parties: hypocrites who pray for show and pagan religions that believe the gods can be manipulated into answering their prayers. The contrast assumes a very religious world. This is not so today. What we face today is an attitude of indifference. Why get excited about prayer to a supernatural God when every day we are wowed by the "miracle" of technological breakthroughs?
Join us this Sunday as Pastor Chris Martin presents Jesus' outline for engaging the Father and re-igniting your vision for an ongoing, personal, and conversational relationship--one where you speak, listen, and encounter His glory.
