After a while, the people of Joshua’s generation died, and the next generation did not know the Lord or any of the things he had done for Israel. (Judges 2:10)
The generation under Joshua served the Lord, but as this sad commentary reflects, the next one did not. After the death of a heroic generation, there was a legacy of spiritual compromise and sin. Why? Whose fault was it? The parents? The leaders? The generation receiving the baton? In this message, Pastor Chris Martin shows there are valuable lessons here for parents and anyone interested in seeing the Christian faith prevail in the next generation.
