Linworth Sisters exists to encourage spiritual growth in the women of Linworth Road Church. We serve the body of Christ in both physical and spiritual ways, provide outreach opportunities, and unite women in fellowship with each other and to our Lord Jesus Christ.

Command those who are rich in this present world… to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for them selves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of life that is truly life. 1 Timothy 6:17-19

The Linworth Sisters’ heart is to draw women to the feet of Christ.

  • To discover a real relationship between God and his daughters
  • To make a difference in the world for Christ by learning and growing spiritually and spreading everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. (2 Corinthians 2:14)
  • To develop deep friendships with each other that will last through eternity.

In pursuit of these goals, the Sisters Group has developed different areas of ministry and outreach. Additionally, we have retreats, game nights, and other special events to allow for one-on-one sistership and fun.

Marcia Bohn

"I feel so very blessed to serve the women of Linworth in this way. God has filled me with love for women who are hurting or healthy, lonely or full of life. I really believe that we need each other desperately as sisters in the Lord, to make the way to heaven a walk of friendship, love and encouragement."

Marcia Bohn, Women's Ministry Director

Marcia has been married to her best friend, Don, for over 30 years. They enjoy spending time with their two adult sons and their wives and are now proud grandparents. Marcia and Don have been members of Linworth since 2004 and she has been the Women’s Ministry Director since 2006.

We learn the most when we can see it, talk about it and experience it. That is why Sister Suppers are such a fun get together. We talk about what is going on in our lives and mentor each other through life experiences all while cooking and eating together once a month.

Single moms need support and the Princess Sisters are here to help. Through dinners, pool parties, car care clinics, tax preparation help, food pantry, back to school supplies and Sunday morning studies we aim to help supply some of that support. The group meets every other month and Sunday studies happen every other Sunday.

The Sisters Outreach Group serves the community on a one time volunteer basis each month. We look for opportunities to serve in many different areas so as to broaden our view of godly servanthood. Wherever we go, we take the Lord with us and look for ways to spread the gospel whether it is through physical help or a tender Christ filled spirit.

The studies encourage the women to learn and own God's words for themselves. There are classes on Tuesday mornings and evenings throughout the school year and a special summer class throughout the summer on Monday evenings.

You deserve honesty and answers to help you make healthy choices for your life.  PDHC is a caring community and we are proud to be a part of it.
