"You, who were dead in your sins, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our sins"
Colossians 2:13

Our spiritual life begins with our relationship to God through Jesus. Faith in Jesus is not a mere belief, but rather a deeply held conviction that honors and keeps His Words. He claimed His divinity, His power to forgive sins, His ability to cleanse and change our hearts. Faith in Him receives and acts upon these truths - and it is this kind of faith in His Words that makes us fully alive.

"We are to grow up in every way into Him who is the head, into Christ."
Ephesians 4:15

We grow into Christ's likeness through our connection to Him by communicating to Him through prayer, by obeying His Word, and by loving His family. This is where we develop deeply held convictions - beliefs that integrate into behavior. We begin the pathway of being fully mature when Christ's words begin to shape our character, lifestyle, and decisions.

"Go and make disciples of all nations... teaching them to observe all that I commanded you."
Matthew 28:19

The life of a Christ-follower doesn't stop with personal beliefs or private character. It continues into the mission that Christ has called His church and finding our place in that vast work. He has given us gifts, talents, and skills to expand the kingdom of God. Whether through serving or speaking, giving or leading, listening or ministering, each member has a place to contribute and is needed for the whole to succeed.
