Linworth exists mission is to help the spiritually lost and wounded join a community of people becoming fully alive, fully mature, and fully on-mission through the healing power of Jesus Christ and His Word.

The Fully Courses are modeled after our missions statement and are the essential core that we offer of what it means to be a vibrant Christ-follower.

Fully Courses

We see church membership as an important commitment that a Christ-follower makes to other Christians and to church authority. When Jesus came, He established His church. The local church is one expression of that church; it is where we experience devoted friendships, explore our spiritual gifts, and are led by servant-leaders.

If you have been visiting Linworth for several weeks or months, we invite you to take the next step and sign up for an upcoming Membership Class. This class is led by Pastor Chris Martin, and is an overview of our church, beliefs, and history, as well as what membership looks like.

Have you ever stopped and asked the question, “What is God’s purpose or will for his people?” John Stott answered that question by saying, “God wants his people to become like Christ, for Christlikeness is the will of God for the people of God.” If that is true, and we believe it, then it is of upmost importance that we pursue becoming fully mature.

The goal of our Fully Mature class is to provide you with a foundation for growing toward spiritual maturity or, in other words, becoming like Christ. Join us for a four week class that will focus on sin and how it impacts our growth, as well as justification and our identity in Christ. Understanding these two doctrines helps us in our growth process. We will also look at the balance between what is our role and what is the Holy Spirit’s in becoming fully mature. Finally, we will look at the tools for and the means of actually growing, as we learn about spiritual disciplines and suffering.

As human beings we often put a lot of stock in famous last words. Often times a person’s last words express the things most dear to their heart. Jesus’ last words before he ascended to the Father are no different.

Acts 1:8 records Jesus ‘ last words, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” These last words of Jesus are a commission, and a call forevery Christian to be on mission. Some of us will go to the ends of the earth, and some of us will stay, but all of us should be on mission.

We invite you to attend our Fully on-Mission course to dive more into this all important topic of the Great Commission, and to gain better understanding of how you, in whatever life stage you are in can participate in this calling.
